Overview

Peach and grapefruit dominate this viscous, lush amber white from an obscure Norther Italian grape, Garganega. A dinner wine, or for a hearty lunch. This wine sits on its lees for 8months, then in French barrels, but retains much acidity, and very little woody vanilla or other oaky sweetness. A very well made wine, which is way under-priced. This reviewer would also pair with foie gras, though the choice might be idiosyncratic.
