Region: Veneto
Vineyard: Vigneto Calandra di Romagnano
Variety: Amarone
Reviewer: Zoltan Szabo

Plumy, chocolaty, cacao, figs, dried cherries and orange rind, nutmeg and Indian spice, sweet, butter-sautéed field mushrooms, roasted Portobello and sweet, long-aged Modena balsamic, and fermented tobacco,  pipe smoke aroma and flavour notes here. Full and voluptuous, so sweet and flavoursome that it's almost cloying...! Big and bold with jammy finish. Impressive, even if it is almost ambitious, dramatic, over-done in style! The late Anna Nicole-Smith's image (AND physic...! ooh la la...!) popped to mind when tasting this wine last night with friends! Worth to give this Amarone a try, for sure! This wine will keep you warm and cozy, and the cold season it's just around the corner!
