Gilead is Jamie Kennedy's fun, approachable, and simply darling bistro that is also probably one of the darndest places to find if you are not familiar with Toronto's Corktown neighborhood.  Here, the focus is on local food.  So much so that Gilead is famous for the ongoing series of local food movement dinners, special evenings of prix-fixe dishes celebrating the seasonal bounty of Ontario.  As Jamie himelf puts it, "Gilead is warm and welcoming.  The kitchen is open and guests often enjoy cocktails while taking a behind the scenes tour. When the meal is ready, my team and I bring all the elements to the table and plate everything in front of our guests.  It’s essentially like coming to my house for dinner.”  It certainly is and now, regular bistro-style dining has been introduced along with weekend brunch...keep your bellies ready!
