Feeling Bad for Jamie Kennedy

Was anybody else upset at the GlobeandMail piece last week about Jamie? The man is going through a tough time and they butchered him and the entire local food movement. I was shocked to read it and - was it really worth being a front-cover story? I love Jamie Kennedy and his lunches at Gilead. He supports our farmers and serves healthy food. Why did they feel the need to condemn him for that? It has been a week and I am still VEry angree!

Agree 100%, that article did nothing to support local food. Was nice to see positive stuff at Gremolata as well as on martini Boys. Other than that, nobody gave him much credit. Shame.

Breaks my heart to hear about Kennedy! I just heard the bad news, I've been traveling for the last while.
I've been to his restos with numerous occasions and always enjoyed his ideas, ideology of cooking and "slow", 100-mile-approach.
He will escape this situation and will carry on his legacy as one of TO's most celebrated gastro-guru. Atop of that, he's just a lovely guy, a gentleman & scholar, a friend, and as I hear someone who's a pleasure to work for/with!
I wish him all the best!

The Globe articles were not so great - headlines really sucked and were worse than the actual story. Agree with all about how media nailed localvore. Jamie rules on Slow Food.
