Zara Fischer-Harrison is an enthusiastic employee of FoodShare Toronto, a not-for-profit food security organization running programs and services spanning the entire food system. Her role in the organization is to administrate small produce stands in areas of Toronto where access to food is limited, as well as coordinating and working with local farmers to purchase the best food for FoodShare's non-market based food distribution services. She has also had the pleasure of working with small urban and rural farms in Ontario, and has volunteered much of her time to food related organizations including Food Not Bombs, The Planet in Focus International Film and Video Festival, and with the Allan Gardens Children's Conservatory. Zara was the recipient of the Kitchener Youth Action Council's Community Contributor Award in 2006.
