Alan McGinty

Toronto
Alan McGinty is a Toronto-based writer who has been publishing stories about wine since 2002. He went to London that same year to take an intensive course at the Wine and Spirits Education Trust, known internationally as the Independent Wine Education Guild. He completed the Advanced Certificate in Toronto in 2004 and is currently working towards his Diploma. Alan regularly attends wine events in Toronto and Niagara, and continues to add to his growing stock of tasting notes. He has visited most of the wineries in Niagara, Ontario; and has also visited wineries in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia; the Napa Valley in California; Bordeaux and Languedoc in France; and Rioja, Ribero del Duero and Rias Baixas in Spain.
