MAZON Canada, A Jewish Response to Hunger will host its twelfth annual major fundraising event - Food Memories: Then and Now. The event will raise almost $100,000 toward feeding Canada’s hungry, offering funding to various Canadian organizations including: C. W. Jeffries Collegiate Institute(Toronto); Nelson Food Bank Society, (British Columbia) Maison Shalom (Quebec) and Melville and District Food Bank (Saskatchewan). The ticket price for the fundraiser gives guests the opportunity to enjoy a professional cooking demonstration by Norene Gilletz, renowned chef and cookbook author and to taste test the culinary delights of Toronto’s premier kosher chefs while simultaneously helping MAZON make a difference fighting hunger on the frontlines of Canada. Featured caterers include: Steam Whistle Brewery, DSM Foods, Eventfull Specialty Event Bars, Guilt Free Cookies, Baldwin Street Kosher, Amit Frozen Pastries, Feature Foods, Simcha Wine, Taam Tov Fine Catering, Royal Kosher Catering, Peter Mielzynski Agencies, Grafstein Wines, Caterers York, Strub Brothers, Tiara Culinary Creations, D-Lites, Uptown Gourmet Catering, PR Creative Catering and King Solomon’s Table. MAZON Canada, a Jewish Response to Hunger, raises funds primarily from the Jewish community and allocates those funds non-denominationally to over 100 organizations fighting hunger on the front lines across Canada.
